President and CEO Paul Martin to step-down — to pursue new leadership opportunity

Santa Ana, CA – For The Children announced today that Paul Martin will be stepping down from his position this month as President and CEO to pursue a new opportunity.

To the For The Children community Paul shared:

“Serving in this role has been the honor of a lifetime. Alongside devoted staff and board members, thousands of FTC volunteers around the country and world, and countless churches, partners, and donors, it will be difficult to say goodbye. But I know that I have fulfilled my part in their incredible journey. While I will remain a staunch supporter of the FTC mission and leadership, I’m increasingly feeling called to use my voice as a human (child)rights advocate. I know For The Children’s future is bright.”

“We are appreciative of Paul’s visionary leadership, and I look forward to working with him on a transition over the next few months. We are confident that our dynamic team of staff and volunteers are well-positioned to continue creating lasting change in the lives of children, families, and society.” said Gunnar Gustafson, chair of the board.

The board will begin a national search, which will launch in February. Individuals interested in learning more about the position as potential applicants should email the FTC Board at FTCBoard@forthechildren.org.
